  • You have basic computer literacy skills and are up to date with the latest technological innovations and tools. You understand the implementation challenges that take place in the complexity of today's supply chain software solutions.

  • You can keep up with the challenges that come with thinking of the supply chain as a system. You embrace the added dimension of cross-functional and cross-company complexity and understand the connections and interdependencies across logistics, manufacturing, marketing / sales, and procurement.

    You also recognize that engaging in the complexity of interfaces with suppliers, store management teams, and franchisees is also very important.

  • you have superior business skills and language
  • You effectively communicate with senior executives. You are comfortable speaking about terms such as EBITDA, ROC, and economic profit as you are comfortable talking about fleet-truck efficiency or demand forecasting.

    You can step into the CFO's office and be capable of holding a conversation about cash flow and step outside and be able to engage in delivery schedules talk with suppliers immediately.

    You know how to explain supply chain problems to the executive team in their language.

    The position allows some flexibility to work remotely from home but will require working at the Toppers Headquarters in Whitewater, WI, about 80% of the time.

    Some travel is expected for this position travel to current and proposed vendors and conferences as needed.

    Required Education & Experience

  • BS Food Science & Nutrition (or business or related field)
  • Restaurant, supplier, distribution background
  • 3-5 Years related managerial experience
  • Have held a valid driver's license for two years
  • Can pass our insurance company's motor vehicle record minimum requirements :
  • In the past three years, no more than :

  • two minor moving violations or
  • one at-fault accident or
  • one minor moving violation and one at-fault accident

    The Supply Chain Director will report to the CFO and is a member of the Supply Chain Team. This role is responsible for supporting the brand's goals and objectives in the following areas :

  • Supervision -You provide direction, leadership, and development of direct report(s)
  • Directs and is responsible for overall supply chain operations Including product sourcing, analysis, and recommendations, price negotiating, procurement, purchasing and inventory of raw materials, selection of vendors, and distribution of materials to our franchisees
  • Provide department strategic plans and goals that align with the company's initiatives that improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations
  • Develop plans and policies, which include contingency plans for risk management and plans to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety;
  • implement subsequent changes to processes, and evaluate those processes and procedures

  • Evaluate past performance data to forecast needs and production scheduling; suggest improvements to increase the efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
  • Establish performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
  • Chair the convention sponsorship committee, negotiate supplier convention contributions, ensure suppliers meet support commitments, vendor trade show oversight
  • Participate as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
