Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure balances are accurate, sufficiently documented, and meet accounting requirements
Prepare journal entries to properly record the activity of the business, including payroll expenses / accruals, SG&A expense accruals, prepaid balances, and reclasses
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for US operating entities
Contribute to monthly reporting package by investigating and explaining trends, variances and significant items
Assist the accounting team in identifying and implementing improvements to enhance the effectiveness and timeliness of reporting
Support annual US audit by providing external auditors with all requested documentation in a timely manner
Assist external tax preparers in quarterly and annual tax return preparation, including processing and tracking tax payments and returns for all related entities

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3-5 years accounting experience
Logistics industry experience a plus
Track record of identifying and implementing process improvements
Strong computer skills and proficiency in using MS Office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
Familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains or similar accounting packages preferred
Ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and achieve goals on time
Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and able to work independently
Ability to work with cross-functional teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent data collection and qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
