Position Summary

In this role, the Civil EIT / PE will assist Engineers by performing the routine aspects of civil engineering assignments.

The Civil EIT / PE will work on a variety of projects pertaining to transportation projects and will be located out of our Bellevue, WA office or project office in the area.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares design elements and design plans for highway / roadway civil design.
  • Created design calculations and back up documentation
  • Provides quantity calculations and project cost estimating.
  • Researches standards and specifications and works with City, State, County, and Federal manuals.
  • Researches design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and / or Project Managers.
  • Coordinates project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his / her discipline group.
  • Assists with other duties assigned by Project Engineers and / or Project Managers.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required
  • At least 3 years of previous engineering design experience on transportation, and / or land development projects is recommended
  • Washington State Department of Transportation design experience preferred
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate is required
  • Project Engineer (PE) certification desirable, but not required
  • Experience with highway / roadway design is desirable, but not required
  • Experience with design software including Microstation and InRoads is preferred, but not required
  • Familiar with MS Office 2010 projects (Word, Excel, Project)
