Translate Corporate Strategy into Pricing and Contracting guidance for leadership
Understand key customers’ business models
Define the species specific contract evaluation framework(s)
Analysis and Modeling
Work with the Contracting and Pricing team to analyze prior transaction detail to inform pricing structures (i.e. discount vs.
rebate) across various segments
Develop elasticity models to inform price setting and promotion strategies, quantifying the incremental revenue and margin of price setting changes by product
Lead projects that design and deploy pricing analytics as well as optimization and execution tools to enable effective pricing decisions while enhancing the quality and consistency of pricing processes
Champion and Lead Best Practices
Lead price setting discussions across Brands and Species
Drive discussions and recommendations on outcome based pricing and various pricing models
Work with the species to understand the product roadmap and help species leads create pricing strategies that align with that roadmap
Work with Marketing and Sales to develop and test Contracting and Pricing hypotheses
Surface opportunities and drive optimization
Identify opportunities to accelerate growth and test new pricing strategies
Develop customer attributes and identify customer willingness to pay levels
Find out what customers truly value by analyzing marketplace, customers, and value propositions
Lead the establishment of the vision, prioritization, and roadmap for pricing initiatives
Provide strategic insight into contract negotiations and the likely impact of pricing changes on the overall market
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; Advance degree in statistics from an accredited institution preferred
Demonstrated understanding of business processes, forecasting / financial modeling, contract management, and administration.
Ability to develop strong relationships and collaboration across multiple departments in a multi-cultural environment.
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant pricing, contracting, commercial or industry experience
Understanding of complex channel environments (e.g. US manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical) and how to contract and price in these environments effectively
Experience in developing, implementing, and executing pricing and contracting strategies
Experience in developing price elasticity models to inform pricing decisions
Familiarity with various pricing models, their Pros / Cons and application
Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage analytical tools (e.g. SQL, Tableau, R Studio, Python, etc.) to generate insights that can help drive decisions
Experience in conducting primary and secondary research
Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening) and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse group of professionals
Understanding of Animal Health pricing models and industry best practices preferred
