    Location : New York

    Goal Studios, the Perform Group’s specialist digital sports agency, is looking for a Head of Strategy (North America) with significant brand experience who can lead the region’s strategy as well as the commercial and creative proposition which is critical to the agency’s success.

    As Head of Strategy (North America), the successful candidate will be a key figure in the growth of the agency in the region with specific emphasis on brands and all their touch points.

    Given the size of the team and the multi-functional nature of the current Studios setup , the position will require input across everything, from strategy to planning to delivery, to ensure fantastic results for our clients.

    With in-depth knowledge of sport and the sports and media industries , as well as North American culture, you will have worked in a fast-

    paced environment, with the ability to think calmly and creatively under pressure and challenge received wisdoms in the drive to find the best solution.

    Additionally, you will be expected to contribute to the global expansion of Goal Studios, working with the central team to define strategy and best practice and helping to implement it in new markets.

    WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?

  • Support the growth of the agency across new and current business.
  • Lead our strategic approach with key clients in the region as well as supporting local market sales teams with non-standard briefs.
  • Develop strategic & creative campaign plans that sync with client objectives then collaborate with account management teams and the central GS team to deliver effectively.
  • Contribute to wider agency strategy in terms of structure, direction, insights and revenue streams.
  • DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW?

  • Over 5 years working in sports marketing, creative or strategy role
  • Experience in developing strategic & creative campaign plans that sync with client objectives
  • Ability to collaborate with account management teams and comprehensive understanding of how to deliver campaigns
  • 360 view of the sports industry, understanding the needs / objectives of Media, Rights-holders, Sponsors and Talent
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and consumption platforms
  • Experience in working with leadership teams to strategically support the growth of the agency globally across new and current business
  • An excellent understanding of and passion for sport
  • Ability to form strong relationships with core clients

  • Good contacts among sports industry
  • Good contacts at brands and their agencies
  • Credible leader in the sports / football marketing space
  • Proven management and organisational skills training, motivational and people skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • A keen interest (preferably, understanding) of the sports and entertainment sectors and demonstrable understanding of the sports sponsorship landscape
  • Sound computer literacy and experience using the most commonly used software packages
