The Web Content Editor is responsible for developing and administering global technical content for MTU Onsite Energy’s internal and external online presence.
This position works closely with regional and global cross-functional teams to maintain site standards for new development and ensures existing development remains compliant.
This position is expected to establish a strong, cohesive global online presence representing the voice of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with regional and global content providers and users to identify requirements and provide solutions for future development that promotes use and effectivity for all users
Conduct light data analysis and benchmarking to collaborate on content decisions
Produce requirement documents as needed including quality mockups and prototypes
Conduct content development or document procurement for delivery on external- and internal-facing websites
Perform quality assurance tests to ensure development meets the specification
Utilize best practices in navigation, keyword assignment, and building an intuitive taxonomy to minimize future maintenance efforts
Manage and monitor content update cycles for content maintenance
Uphold archival standards for replacing and accessing obsolete content in the repository
Successfully manage multiple projects with varying deadlines
Provide internal and external end-user training as needed
Ensures compliance to corporate branding, content organization, navigation, style sheet, and archival standards
Works with developers to solve technical issues in displaying content
Keep current with emerging web technologies through industry resources
Provide support for content posted to our online sites including, but not limited to data sheet procurement and web page summaries
Collaborate with direct supervisor on best practices for architecture, documentation processes, global standards
Provide technical support to regional and global internal and external clients for content delivery
Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the RRPS Integrity Code.

Qualifications : Qualifications
Education / Experience
Preferred Education : BA / BS in Computer Science, Web Development, Technical Communications, Marketing, or related field.
Required Education : Associate’s Degree in Web Development or Information Systems
Required Experience : Minimum of three years writing and coding experience; preferably in a mechanical / industrial field with an emphasis on technical content delivery
International business experience is preferred, but not required

Ability to manage multiple regional and / or global projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to build consensus and work effectively within a global cross-departmental team
Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization including external partners
Working knowledge of content management principles, strategies, and applications
Strong problem-solving skills
Experience in building cascading style sheets (CSS) that are consistent across browsers and platforms
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, and Web development tools
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
