Perform On-Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) andAll-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system testing, evaluation of test data and reporting ofresults
Participate in VSA / AWD system development andvehicle test planning (attend meetings, create schedules and budget)
Participate in development and evaluation ofnew components and specifications
Participate in the evaluation and improvementof market complaint issues related to VSA / AWD systems
Develop expertise in subjective / objectiverating of vehicle dynamic phenomena
Operate data acquisition equipment andanalysis software
Travel to test locations and supplier / vendorsites necessary
Overtime and off-hours work is required
Vehicle setup, mechanical work, parts changingand troubleshooting. Will be required to understand electrical drawings.
Correlate torque accuracy specifications andachievement verifications between VSA, powertrain and suppliers, including : tracking powertrain torque accuracy, on vehicle verification, leading other VSAmembers for on-
car torque verifications of their projects, and documentation.Goal is targeting zero torque accuracy related issues for cold weather testseason.
Conduct Data verification, guide VSA memberson powertrain software function and regular data setting confirmations to makesure correct powertrain software is used for all VSA testing, targeting zerodata setting related issues.
Make and maintain VSA portion of powertrain Chassis control integration
Prepare specification and verificationdocuments, and arrange verification meetings for each project stage
BSME / EE and aminimum of 1-year experience or equivalent combination of education andexperience required. Qualified candidateshould have experience / knowledge / interest of vehicle dynamics, control systems,understanding of electromechanical systems, and driving experience.
ProficientPC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software) and excellentcommunication / interpersonal skills required.
Ability to travel and workovertime may be required.
