Overview

The Inside Sales Director will be responsible for delivering revenue across all segments in the US Commercial Inside Sales organization.

In this role, you will be leading, managing and developing a team of inside sellers to successfully position SAS tools and solutions and enable the partner ecosystem in representing SAS’ products and solutions.

Core to this leader’s success will be the development of prescriptive and repeatable processes for the inside sales organization and the establishment and review of success metrics.

Additionally, through collaboration with other SAS organizations the director will with in collaboration with the business unit head and field sales leaders to develop go-

to-market strategies which increases SAS’s market share in the Enterprise, SMB and Government segments of the business.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Lead an organization with a results-oriented approach, through all levels of management.
  • Responsible for achievement of new software sales, renewals and services revenue targets by building and optimizing programs to enable strong sales execution.
  • Drive pipeline to exceed sales goal by executing demand generation campaigns and working closely with the field, channel organization and marketing.
  • Direct and manage a lead-flow processes within the field sales and channel organization
  • Provide and develop a strong and consistent coaching environment.
  • Create, manage and execute against a standard set of metrics including call activity, appointment setting, customer acquisition, lead qualification, and sales motion as examples.
  • Working closely with SAS Human Resources, improve processes to recruit, hire, train, manage and promote high performing inside sales representatives and sales development representatives.
  • Manages training the inside sales representatives on territory account planning to closing.
  • Provide accurate forecasts. Interprets sales policies, advises representatives and sales assistants in the handling of sales and policy issues, and emphasizes the requirement for use of divisionally-
  • adopted sales methodologies.

  • Uses internal CRM to keep information about business accurate and up to date.
  • Determines equitable sales assignments and / or territories and sets targets appropriately with input from senior sales management.
  • Responsible for developing business plans to meet future company revenue goals
  • Analyzes and implements company sales initiatives at the regional or national industry level
  • Feedback on sales representative’s compensation plans
  • Feedback on product bundles, pricing
  • Conducts inside sales team meetings.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Analyzes regional or industry market to determine the most productive go to market sales strategies.
  • Demonstrated advanced understanding of strategic sales techniques and principles specifically in the hardware and software industry.
  • Advanced skills in the following areas : coaching, problem solving, interpersonal interactions, team building, career development, leadership, strategic and conceptual sales, communication, and detail orientation.
  • Experience and Education Preferred :

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science,
  • Extensive experience in B2B software sales, including experience in a formal leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in consistently achieving a sales target.
  • Location : Cary, NC
