Senior Director Business Operations and Planning

Summary :

The Senior Director Business Operations and Planning is responsible for overseeing the execution and delivery of all Market Insights, Forecasting, Analytics and Field Support activities for the business unit.

This includes daily analytics, KPI reporting, insight generation, ongoing forecasting and performance assessment as well as IC design and implementation to support business objectives.

This Senior Director will also work in close collaboration with US Business Unit leadership team and stakeholders to define and execute a strategic roadmap, focusing on the key initiatives and programs of the brand plan and identifying opportunities for enhancing brand performance.

The successful candidate will align all therapeutic area dedicated resources to the brand roadmap and work directly with Business Operations management to ensure deliverables are achieved.

The Senior Director Business Operations and Planning will report to the Vice President Business Operations for Sanofi Genzyme with strong accountability to the Business Unit Head and their Leadership Team.

Responsibilities :

  • Overall accountability to set the strategy, vision and establish direction for the prioritization and execution of Business Operations objectives.
  • Manage the Quarterly Business Review process for Business Operations activities. Ensure clear, measurable goals are established, understood and executed against by each functional resource supporting the brand.
  • Lead budget, forecast and strategic plan submissions for Business Operations and the Business Unit as it pertains to Business Operations activities.
  • Ensure all allocations are reviewed for accuracy.

  • Participate in Business Unit Leadership meetings, providing Insight and Operational expertise.
  • Create opportunities for efficiencies in brand performance through process improvements, vendor leverage and data analysis, partnering with the brand to implement solutions and track ROI.
  • Implement the framework and processes to maintain and manage service level agreements with our internal and external key partners.
  • Maintain the appropriate level of experienced resources to support the brand operations as well as the ongoing portfolio of business and technology driven projects and programs.
  • Integrating functionally aligned resources within Business Operations under a Therapeutic Area focused team and aligning to a common framework and set of guiding principles.
  • Support the VP of Business Operations in strategy development, execution of organizational plans, proactive preparation of management reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in similar roles, cross-business unit to ensure best practice sharing and effective leverage of support teams.
  • Qualifications :

  • 10+ years of work experience
  • Previous experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to drive change within an organization, cultivating support and maximizing contribution from team members
  • Undergraduate degree, MBA preferred
  • Experience leading without authority in a matrix environment
  • Collaboration, conceptual and innovation skills
  • Facilitation and presentation skills
  • Impact and influence competencies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
