Leads, coaches, guides, advises, mentors, recruits, and develops a remote team of mobile / wireless District Managers and Sales Managers to drive sales, increase category share, increase brand awareness, and influence market share and mind-
share for the client and customers in a retail environment
Acts as liaison between field management, corporate / client management, and retailer by overseeing district, regional, and local activities
Partners with teams serving as an expert in field mobile / wireless sales to achieve measurable success
Develops and maintains positive, professional, collaborative relationships with clients and retailers ensuring client satisfaction and program / team retention
Strategizes, constructs and maintains annual operational plans and oversight of program budget / commission policies
Creates a culture of performance excellence that attracts and retains top talent
Plans, manages, leads, and documents team performance discussions to ensure direct reports and retail field teams are on track with goals, competency development and overall accountability in performance management
Successfully manages / analyzes / resolves issue tracking reports, merchandising information, inventory, sales reports, compliance reports, training reports, competitive reports, customized client reporting, POS processes and data, etc
Ensures all applicable team members track sales trends, identifies opportunities, runs QTrax daily / weekly / monthly / quarterly reports, and provides professional reports internally and to the retail client
Analyzes sales and market / territory / account data used to provide consultation and / or correction for under-performing markets / regions / accounts.
Regularly reports findings to executives, corporate, and client management
Analyzes and regularly reports on market strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Provides regular formal updates to executive / corporate management
Maintains awareness of all issues that arise from managers, staff, client, or retailers. Follows through with action plans timely and consistently in collaboration with management and / or Human Resources
Ensures leadership / field teams meet productivity, sales, and performance requirements. Assists management team to overcome challenges regarding reaching / exceeding metrics and other performance issues
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor’s degree required with an emphasis in Business, Marketing, or similar field of study. Master’s degree highly desired
Minimum five years management experience in retail, retail operations, retail distribution, merchandising, sales, marketing, consumer packaged goods, and service organizations required
Minimum five years Account / Client / Project Management experience required
Minimum five years field sales and field product / service training experience required
Successful leadership of retail field programs with shared and / or dedicated resources and retail sales incentive programs required
Excellent communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills required
Evidence of forward-thinking, problem solving, multi-tasking, detail-oriented, analytical behaviors required
Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MapPoint, Access) proficiency required
Evidence of success in use of systems / tools that track sales, expenses, incentives, profit, loss, etc
Ability to travel to retail locations in divisions / markets weekly
