Bell has an opening for a Sales & Strategy Manager for Technology and Innovation.

This individual seeks out and develops new business opportunities for Bell / Textron while acting as the subject matter expert for Science & Technology (S&T), both internally to Bell and externally to US Government partners and industry partners.

This position is located in Bell’s Fort Worth, TX headquarters.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Lead the development, engagement and shaping of new US Military business opportunities for the Bell Innovation Team, primarily focused on Advanced Derivative Manned and Unmanned Aircraft, and Science and Technology opportunities.
  • Partners with the Advanced Vertical Lift Systems to develop and transition plans from concept to Programs.

  • Participate in Campaign Teams responsible for capture of new business :
  • Develop responses to US Government (USG) Requests for Information (RFI's).
  • Lead Cross-Functional proposal teams through the acquisition process.
  • Develop Win-Strategies, Price to Win, Risk Analysis / Mitigation Plans, Partnering Strategies.
  • Develop and lead gate reviews for assigned pursuits / opportunities.
  • Act as the S&T expert for aircraft metrics, operational concerns, and employment concepts for events as needed.
  • Manage Customer Relationships with key DoD customers :
  • Develop and execute executive engagement plan at all levels of DoD.
  • Shape requirements for USG that align with Bell Products and Services.
  • Own key strategies / messages and One Voice for customers and Bell / Textron executives.
  • Interface with Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Office of Naval Research (ONR), Army Research Labs (ARL), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL).
  • Academia and Bell Leadership.
  • Interface with Washington DC, Textron Office on Strategies to influence DoD Budgets and Acquisition decision authorities.
  • Represent Bell at key trade shows and events, to continue to promote the Bell brand and Bell products and services; supporting Bell interests with DoD customers.
  • Education Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Position Requirements :

  • At least 8 years of related experience in working with US Government DOD.
  • Must have related experience within the US Government Science & Technology community
  • DoD Decision Support Systems including, the Joint Capabilities Integration and
  • Development System, the Defense Acquisition System, and the Planning,

    Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) Process experience

  • Candidate must be a results-oriented professional with strong strategic planning
  • skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • ONR, DARPA, AFRL, or ARL interface experience
  • Preferred Education, Skills and Experience :

  • Master's Degree
  • Military aviation experience
