Job Standard / Operational Needs

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Integrated Behavioral Health) will provide high quality professional behavioral health services within the ambulatory primary clinic environment.

Will deliver timely response to consultation results and provide a warm hand-off to community behavioral health services as appropriate.

Provides pharmacotherapy and routine medical evaluation and treatment for patients. Provide individual, family and group therapy.

Provide assessment of patient behavioral health and other needs. Develop and implement specialty programs. Provide patient education.

Provide consultation to other clinics and community agencies. Provides supervision to behavioral health staff. Assist in Quality Improvement Program.

Minimum Qualifications

NYS licensed / registered NP with current NYS RN NYS licensed / registered NP or PA required. Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or as a Physician Assistant and current National Certification as a psychiatric Nurse Practitioner required.

Current CPR Certification required. Prior experience in psychiatry setting and American Nurses Association certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner preferred.

Work days : Monday - Friday, Days
