Position Summary :
The Graduate Assistant for the Speech Team has an outstanding opportunity to be mentored by the Director of Forensics in the areas of managing operations and leading students who are passionate about public speaking, debating and being a part of a team environment that seeks to gain national recognition through competition.
What would you do?
Your head coach the Director of Forensics, needs your support with all of the operational work that happens behind the scenes to make the program its best.
You will find ways to connect with current team members and encourage them to strive for success at CUNE.
You even have the opportunity to meet with prospective students during campus visits to encourage them to join CUNE's successful Speech Team.
You might even travel a bit to meet with prospective students.
You will work alongside the director to help support tournaments, judge speeches or help recruit people to judge.
CUNE wants you to grow through this experience.
What do you need?
CUNE would like you to have your Bachelor's degree in an area relevant to speech and debate teams.
CUNE would love to have you come highly qualified with great experience, but your head coach / director can mentor you along the way.
It would be great to have you come with knowledge of speech and debate rules / regulations.
A love for details and organization.
You would have to be able to drive a 12-passenger van to tournaments if needed.
