Pay : $14.50+ / hr or based on experience

One of Oahu's best and busiest physical therapy clinics is seeking enthusiastic and motivated. Administrative Assistant for full-time work! We’re looking for positive and customer-orientated staff to be part of our fun and diverse team.

SUMMARY :

Schedules appointments for 20+ physical therapists for clients or customers by phone, or in-person by performing the following duties :

  • Uses our electronic medical records system to record the time and date of appointments.
  • Welcomes clients upon check-in.
  • Thanks, clients upon checkout.
  • Professionally administer incoming calls.
  • Communicate with referring providers and staff.
  • Refers to all billing questions to billing department.
  • Efficiently and accurately perform a variety of clerical duties including faxing, scheduling, making calls, scanning, etc.
  • Registers new patients and preps their chart.
  • Ensures all insurance policies and procedures are met.
  • Receives payments for services and products.
  • Informs physical therapists of patient arrival to appointment.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), BA or BS preferred.
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience, preferably working directly with patients in a
  • medical setting.
  • Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple / complex correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but
  • uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete
  • variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills 50+ wpm, Mac OS, Microsoft Office including but not limited to Word, Excel.
