Weyerhaeuser Company is currently searching for anexperienced leader to fill the role of Dry Side Supervisor. The Dry SideSupervisor is a key member of the Millport leadership team, and reports to theDry Side Superintendent.
This position is responsible for managing safety,quality, productivity, cost, and continuous improvement in the dry lumberfinishing process.
Additionally, the Dry Side Supervisor leads the team byproactively resolving employee issues, building team-work, and ensuringadherence to all applicable site policies and procedures in a fair andconsistent manner.

Develops and maintains a strong product knowledge base
Creates a positive work environment, effectively interfaceswith other departments, and ensures open communication among associates andother stakeholders
Partners with Green Side manufacturing, Shipping, ValueTeam, Maintenance and other leadership / teams for the implementation / managementof optimization throughout the mill, including production scheduling, assetutilization, and maintenance activities
Helps to manage the daily activities of the facility to meetunit goals
Facilitates the planning of production activities, budgets,and capital project activities
Promotes continuous improvement / innovation and leads team toanticipate and adapt to change
Facilitates effective management and development of the workforce
Ensures compliance with all applicable Weyerhaeuser,federal, state, and local laws & regulations
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Forestry, Business, Industrial Engineering or other related degree OR equivalent combination of education / experience (High School Diploma / GED minimum requirement)
Demonstrated experience in safely leading manufacturingprocesses, preventive maintenance, productivity, and / or cost processimprovements
Strong computer, mathematical, and analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office software
Effective in process control applications such asspreadsheets and databases
Demonstrated ability to develop, lead, and coach a team
Demonstrated self-starter with excellent time managementskills and ability to perform with minimum supervision or direction
Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levelswithin an organization
Excellent communication (written, verbal, and listening)skills
Ability to effectively facilitate and encourage changemanagement
Strong independent problem solving and organization skills
Knowledge and experience in lumber manufacturing preferred
