NuVasive is seeking an experienced Mechanical or Biomedical Engineer for our Interbody Advanced Material Science team. Our team is part of a larger mechanical engineering group that focuses on interbody and AMS projects that utilizes extensive knowledge of mechanisms, engineering practices, mathematics, material science, and other physical sciences to create implant and instrument systems designed for use in the OR.
As a seasoned mechanical engineering professional, you’ll gain hands on experience to devise innovative mechanical product solutions to meet surgeon needs and design specifications, from concept to commercialization.
Working on cross-functional teams to manage the product development process, project timeline and deliverables is key to this role, as you’ll often interact with other internal teams, including marketing, purchasing, regulatory, quality, research and testing, and machine shop, to ensure designs comply with applicable FDA and state regulations, as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13485.
