WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years maintenance experience in commercial facilities setting
  • Proficient with MS Office products and the use of technology
  • Ability to read building blueprints
  • Proficient reading, comprehension, writing & mathematical ability
  • Ability to work flexible shifts in a 24 hour operation including weekends to support maintenance needs
  • Must successfully complete : TB skin test or chest x-rayState fingerprint and FBI background check where required by regulationHealth screening for this positionBasic First Aid training
  • PREFERENCES

  • More than 3 years maintenance experience in hospitality facilities, Assisted Living communities, or Skilled Nursing facilities.
  • Experience working with a senior population

  • POSITION SUMMARY

    This position is a hands-on management position responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the community and grounds. This position ensures the community meets all life safety and regulatory requirements.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensures community meets all life safety code requirements and maintains documentation to support
  • Carries out preventative maintenance program
  • Manages electronic work order system & completes or delegates repairs as needed
  • Coordinates with outside vendors as needed for maintenance & supply related needs
  • Conducts apartment inspections and coordinates / facilitates make-ready process
  • Responds to after-hours maintenance related emergency calls
  • Manages floor care maintenance program
  • Participates in the community emergency team
  • Participates in the community Safety Inspection Team
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position supervises, interviews, selects, trains, evaluates and counsels the Building Engineer Assistant and Housekeepers
