As part of the Scripps Health pharmacy team, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians provide a broad range of clinical services at our sites and work collaboratively with physicians, nurses and other health care team members to deliver high-quality, efficient services to patients and staff.

Responsible for performing pharmacy technician duties in a clinic infusion center. Works under the supervision of registered pharmacists.

Daily responsibilities include : compounding hazardous and non-hazardous drugs, cleaning the compounding area per USP797 / USP800 standards, stocking compounding pharmacy area, drug inventory management of patients scheduled in the clinic, billing, and holding non-pharmacy staff accountable to the standards set in the pharmacy.

May assist pharmacy management with administrative support duties.

This is a Full Time Varied Shift Position at Scripps Mercy in Hillcrest. Shifts are 10 hours anytime between 7am 7pm with weekend rotation.

Required Experience / Education Skills :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of Pharmacy Technician Career Program
  • California Board of Pharmacy Certification.
  • Certification by a National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of inpatient experience.
  • Preferred Experience :

  • 5 year inpatient experience preferred
  • Hazardous drug compounding experience preferred
