Under the direction of the Commercial Contract & Managed Care (CCMC) Billing Operations Manager, the MSO II serves as a front line Supervisor the Department of Patient Business Services (PBS).
Duties include direct supervision of PBS CCMC billing staff, which includes billers, pre-billing and billing clerical support.
Must be proficient in oral and written communication. Reviews and analyzes claims on Interim, High Dollars, Weekly Billing Metrics and KPI’s, payer trends.
Attends and / or leads internal and external meetings on behalf of the department. Reviews and analyzes Pre-Billing 4 Day from Discharge report, manages daily claim edits, rejections, manages and trains a staff of approximately 15 including and clerical personnel, including active coaching and counseling.
Job Qualifications Qualifications
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in Hospital Billing and Collections for Commercial and Managed Care health plans.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; demonstrated ability to track, trend and analyze payer data.
Demonstrated ability for commercial and Managed Care Denial Management
Demonstrated experience in managing commercial and Managed Care audits timely and effectively.
