This is an opportunity for you to join our very busy 43-bed Progressive Care / Medical Surgical unit with a patient-centered, family-oriented core staff caring for a variety of medical, surgical and cardiac patients.
The unit has the capacity to flex up to 71 beds across 2 clinical spaces.
Our population includes patients with complex acute conditions and both orthopedic surgical patients including total joint replacements and general surgical patients.
We also care for patients who present with arrhythmias, chest pain, and / or have had a myocardial infarction.
This position requires the ability to interpret EKG rhythms. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail required.
This position is a part time (24 hours per week) varied shift position.

This position is responsible for continuous observation of patients monitors, leads and / or activity and behaviors, and for reporting pertinent changes and abnormalities to the appropriate clinical staff.
This position is also responsible for maintaining logs of activity and changes or behaviors in accordance with facility standards.
Alerts appropriate clinical staff of any changes and abnormalities.
High school diploma / GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Current BLS certification may be required in certain departments.
Depending on department assignment, completion of unit approved basic electrocardiogram -OR- electroencephalographic interpretation course or on the job training and - a minimum passing score of 85% on ECG -OR- EEG test, with accurate identification of all lethal cardiac dysrhythmias - OR - epileptiform activity.
Must possess a working knowledge of medical terminology. Requires effective interpersonal and problem solving skills.
Additional related education and / or experience preferred.
