This position can be filled at either the Engineer (level 2) or Principal Engineer level (level 3).Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for the technical understanding of the spacecraft bus and electrical power subsystem as a whole
  • Responsible for detailed technical knowledge of various electrical power equipment
  • Management of the budget and schedule on assigned project
  • Active oversight of assigned technical team and hardware development effort
  • Application of core EE principals to adapt / improve heritage equipment and features
  • Preparing proposal costing and technical assessments
  • Preparing and presenting technical packages for design reviews
  • Acting as a liaison with program management and various customers
  • Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications :

  • Active or current Top Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain SCI
  • U.S. citizen
  • Required experience for Engineer (level 2) :

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field
  • At least two years of Engineering experience.
  • Required experience for Principal Engineer (level 3) :

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • or related STEM field

  • At least five years of Engineering experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Active TS / SCI clearance
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of the generation, storage, conditioning / regulation, and distribution of electrical power
  • Understanding of analog electronics and various power converter topologies
  • Ability to work through detailed analyses with minimal oversight
  • Experience in managing subcontractors and working with government and private sector customers
  • Design experience while this is not a circuit design position, knowledge of the process is highly desirable
