Description of Duties / Essential Functions Benefits Supplemental Questions Under direct supervision, for a period not longer than twelve months, participates in an agency sponsored training program;
studies and becomes proficient in the complex laboratory procedures used for conducting testing on newborn screening specimens.
Evaluates test results, prepares records and reports for laboratory results.
Minimum Requirements : Requires a Bachelor's degree in one of the chemical, biological, medical technology, clinical laboratory sciences, or physical sciences from a recognized college or university;
Requires working knowledge of laboratory techniques used for scientific laboratory examinations. Requires ability to compare, analyze and / or identify various organisms / substances.
