DEPARTMENT : System - Administration.

Duties :

Responsible for overall coordination of the Hospital System’s Process Improvement program. Serves as the Hospital’s primary resource for expertise on LEAN Six Sigma principles and methodology.

Serves as a facilitator, trainer, and advisor to all departments and organizations throughout system on Lean Healthcare and / or Six-

Sigma related activities. Develops, implements, and maintains lean healthcare and quality related metrics and reports that reflects the progress and sustainability of lean healthcare.

Provides regular reports on outcomes to hospital administration. Prioritizes, directs and facilitates the hospital activities and education to ensure success in LEAN healthcare initiatives.

Oversees the development and certification of internal Lean facilitators and instructors. Understands both clinical and non-

clinical activities and processes within a healthcare setting. Utilizes advanced critical thinking skills and a pro-active approach to problem solving.

Participates on quality committees as needed. Reports directly to the COO.


Bachelors in Nursing is preferred. Bachelors in Industrial Engineering is preferred. Master’s in Business is Required. 2-

3 years of process improvement is preferred. 3-5 years of Clinical Nursing (RN) is preferred. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (or able to attain within 1 year of hire).
