    Global Supplier Compliance, Sourcing Manager

    Functional Overview :

    The sourcing manager in Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) will provide strategic direction and leadership to the organization’s Global Supplier Compliance Team.

    This individual will be responsible for managing social, geographic and environmental supplier risk. The sourcing manager in this role will lead a global team in key initiatives such as Supplier Code of Conduct, Environmental Compliance, Critical Materials Management and Supplier Diversity.

    More specifically, the sourcing manager will be responsible to develop global strategies to reduce supplier compliance risk as well as support corporate initiatives such as Whirlpool’s Sustainability goals within Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS).

    This role requires close engagement with Global Strategic Sourcing, External Suppliers, Sustainability and Global Information Systems teams.

    Job Responsibilities :

  • Global Supplier Code of Conduct (GSCOC), responsible for developing strategic objectives and key metric as well as overseeing the day to day operations of global team members for Whirlpool’s Supplier Code of Conduct program.
  • This individual will act as the compliance and supplier risk management expert, providing subject matter expertise and knowledge to support Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) organization.
  • Will ensure supplier risks are appropriately identified, measured, and managed for the organization.

  • Ownership of the Global Supplier Code of Conduct (GSCOC) program, including but not limited to driving global strategy and key performance indicators
  • Leading / coaching regional team members to develop and execute an annual audit plan, drive actions to improve supplier’s compliance to the code, and implement programs to proactively educate suppliers on compliance
  • Engagement with cross-functional teams such as legal, compliance and corporate security to align on Whirlpool’s compliance and risk management strategy.
  • Ownership and execution of Global Sustainability and Critical Materials Management strategy for Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS)
  • Lead execution of supplier sustainability program, specifically educating global supply base on Whirlpool’s sustainability goals and driving targets / action plans to meet these goals.
  • Develop and oversee the change management plan internally and externally to achieve the supplier sustainability strategy for Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS)
  • Includes close engagement with Sustainability and Engineering teams
  • Ownership and execution of Whirlpool’s supplier diversity program
  • Drive program strategy, key performance indicators, and management of supplier diversity program
  • Provide leadership to project manager executing supplier diversity program, establish strategy and goals for the program
  • Manage and educate internal Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) team members on Whirlpool’s Supplier Diversity Program
  • Optimize supplier diversity spend for the US supply base
  • Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement
  • 1+ years of experience in Procurement Compliance
  • Preferred Requirements :

  • Experience managing a global team in previous roles
  • Strong communication and presentation skills required, ability to report out updates on compliance programs to senior leadership
  • Ability to consistently deliver results through direct and indirect influence
  • Experience leading and giving direction to cross-functional teams
  • Extremely fast learner, ability to prioritize
  • Experience with G Suite Tools, Microsoft tools
