Summary :

The Senior Vice President Ocean Products leads a team that provides sales support for RFP content, presentation content, value proposition development while working closely with the Marketing team.

The SVP of Ocean Products also serves as the conduit between the Business Development team and Solutions when designing winning responses for new business.

The SVP is also responsible for the processes that drive opportunity development and reporting on Business Development performance.

The SVP also serves in a key communication role for the company, handling sensitive communication and press releases.

Job Duties : Primary Duties :

Primary Duties :

  • Develops a team that maintains needs assessment of key verticals and aligns services and resources as required; identifies key value drivers in the ocean industry for industry verticals
  • Organizes, plans, executes, and monitors the product function in support of company's corporate mission, corporate goals, and profit forecast
  • Establishes and executes the overall product strategy to drive corporate revenue; ensures alignment with corporate strategy;
  • establishes the necessary value-added products and services to sell competitively in the marketplace

  • Prepares and submits annual product reports and provides analysis that drives marketing and sales goals; supports regional sales efforts
  • Develops and leads a strategy to support a sales opportunity through the internal process by engaging with subject matters experts (SMEs) at each stage of the progression
  • Serves as a high-level participant in Executive Deal Team review meetings to discuss open opportunity and to lead internal sales efforts
  • Leads and develops a team that identifies business opportunities and assesses customer needs while matching these with services provided to acquire new key, global and / or national accounts
  • Serves as a liaison and develops regional strategies to resolve disagreements between sales, solutions, project management, startup group, customer, and executive team from initial engagement through the early stages of the startup to ensure continuity with the approved solution throughout sales life cycle
  • Interfaces product information with each service segment's operations / customer service departments to ensure an orderly efficient flow of information
  • Acts as representative for the Company in press releases, publications, and legal matters

  • Requirements :

    Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or Logistics from a 4 year college or university
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum 11 years’ experience in the marketing or sales industry
  • Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
