The role

The Director of Openings Services will productively engage owners, management companies, additionally designated franchisee representatives, on-

site management, and internal Choice stakeholders during the onboarding process. The associate must achieve the status of being a trusted advisor to franchisee owners and property level management teams, as well as being held accountable for achieving personal and team objectives.

This individual must possess superior time management and self-starting administrative follow-up practices, and will support assigned initiatives and brand program objectives.

This associate will demonstrate proficiency in use and coaching of proprietary and industry technologies and will also seek and share best practices.

What you will do

  • Manage a team of Onboarding Project Directors and work with Compliance Manager to Enforce policies and make decisions related to exceptions for opening requirements including signage, legal documentations, reservations, etc.
  • and to track estimated online dates to better forecast openings.

  • Delivers opening support to hotels through training, hands on operational development, milestone tracking and a single point of contact approach.
  • Maintain hotel contracts, addendums and correspondence for special issues arrangements or exceptions.
  • Adapt opening plans to track and follow-up on all exceptional items, granting extensions as necessary.
  • Review all BES / AES addendum with owners and consult on completion of items.
  • Responsible for Pre-Sell for all new hotel entrants.
  • Engage the Service team and hand off property with all predetermined milestones, training and support completed.
  • Follow outlined process maps for all onboardings.
  • Find Solution for ongoing issues and use the tools and resources at Choice to Own the Contact.
  • Manage Travel and Travel Expenses to meet department goals.
  • Skills you have

  • Excellent negotiation and inter-personal skills
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to function effectively in cross functional team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, franchise industry savvy, and proven track record in driving hotel performance success.
  • Must have superior time-management and follow-through skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, and able to balance multiple project support requests beyond ongoing portfolio support requirements.
  • Must thrive on exceeding goals and meeting deadlines.
