  • Job Summary

    We are seeking a Sr Sous Chef to lead the culinary services team in a Senior Living Community in Commack, NY.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Assists with implementing and supporting all culinary related programs to include resident dining, catering, retail, and all other dining functions
  • Assists with menu development, inventory, ordering / purchasing, and food cost controls
  • Responsible for adherence to all food safety and sanitation programs
  • Insures compliance with all policies and procedures with emphasis on quality and attention to detail
  • Assists with management, onboarding, training, development and growth of the culinary team
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Culinary Arts degree or certificate- preferred
  • Servsafe certification - required
  • Three years of progressive culinary management experience - required
  • Knowledge of food and catering trends as well as creativity with plate presentation
  • Fine dining restaurant, hotel, or country club culinary experience
  • Experience with high-touch customer service environments
  • Must be experienced with computers to include Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in the senior living setting - preferred
  • Contract managed service experience- a plus
