Day ShiftAccountable and responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the operations of their assigned physician practices with multiple providers and / or sites.

Participates with Medical Group Operations leadership, providers (including physicians and mid-levels) and Southeast HEALTH system leadership in developing and implementing strategic plan for the practice as part of the organization’s objectives to deliver low cost, high quality care close to homeBegin

Begin

  • Hiring, orienting, evaluating, coaching, counseling and discharging (when necessary) all employees of practice, including Office Supervisor or Coordinator as applicable
  • Manage expenses against budget monthly. Prepares annual budget for practice including provider volume estimates, expense management, and capital improvement requests
  • Monitoring coding, patient charges and provider productivity (wRVUs), monthly against budget
  • Receives and analyzes reports of charges, accounts receivable management and collections monthly. Notes variances and makes recommendations for change where necessary
  • Assures compliance with all applicable regulatory agency requirements for physician practice including but not limited to, Joint Commission, Rural Health Clinics (RHC), and Vaccines for Children (VFC)
  • Insures completion of appropriate continuing education of providers as needed.
  • Tracks credentialing of providers including appropriate licensure, certification, and privileging. Provides reports / updates upon request
  • Prepares necessary requisitions and approves invoices generated due to practice expenses.
  • Monitors maintenance of building and grounds through both internal and external service providers to insure a safe patient care and workplace environment
  • Works with providers to insure EHR utilization requirements to achieve applicable meaningful use and / or PQRS requirements
  • Continually examines practice operations for potential improvement in quality and efficiency Makes recommendations to Medical Group Operations leadership to achieve appropriate solutions
  • Interfaces and works collaboratively with the Physician Services leadership for Southeast HEALTH
  • Participates actively in the recruitment of providers and onboarding of new providers to the practice and Southeast HEALTH as a whole
  • Works collaboratively with Business Development, Marketing, and Medical Group leadership to effectively market providers through the development of applicable data, analysis of data, and implementation of marketing plans and strategies
  • In collaboration with providers, plans and maintains schedules for patient care hours including clinic, procedural, outreach, in-
  • patient rounding and on call responsibilities when applicable.

  • Actively participate and / or lead committees as assigned

  • Become

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • In lieu of Bachelor Degree, applicable experience will be considered
  • Previous physician practice management preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Previous experience with provider relations or demonstrated proficiency within 90 days of employment
  • Proficiency with EMR, Excel, Word, and other applicable clinical and productivity applications to be demonstrated within 90 days of employment
  • Ability to think critically and function autonomously
