Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Manage the Marketing Team’s Editorial Calendar weekly, and the Impact Story Library (twice / year).
  • Contributing writer to blog posts and other editorial content upon request of Marketing Communications Manager.
  • Assist with regular posting and monitoring of Rise Against Hunger social channels.
  • Review and proof collateral before release to printer and other vendors.
  • Develop media lists for all Rise Against Hunger designated market areas and update as needed, under the guidance of our PR & Communications Specialist.
  • Become power user of Salesforce.com (our customer relationship management CRM tool for the organization) and Basecamp, which the Marketing Team uses to plan, prioritize and manage workload.
  • Oversee the team’s production schedule, route jobs and secure approvals as necessary; follow up regularly to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Ensure incoming projects have all necessary materials for kickoff (approved strategy or creative brief, schedule, background documents, content, etc.).
  • Communicate resource needs to ensure project deadlines can be met; collaborate with director and managers regarding team schedules, deadlines and workload.
  • Contribute to management of all marketing assets collateral, presentations, direct mail, digital and web elements.

  • Education / Experience Requirements :

  • BA / BS in marketing or communications-related major
  • Must have at least 2-4 years of experience within a marketing, public relations and / or non-profit marketing environment.
  • Experience as a traffic manager or marketing coordinator in a fast-paced agency or nonprofit marketing environment; demonstrated experience executing marketing campaigns (digital and traditional).
  • General understanding of print and web design requirements; some graphic design skills are beneficial, although not critical to core responsibilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Salesforce (or CRM Software), Adobe Creative Suite and Basecamp beneficial and preferred, but not required
