The selected candidate will support the Post Boost Team in performing the following essential functions :
Systems Engineering for Missile Systems Requirements Development and Interface Management
Weapon System Integration Interface Requirements - Physical, Electrical, Logical
Key Technical Interface to Customer
System Design / System architecture development for aerospace systems including Systems Analysis, Trades, Design Verification, and Modeling & Simulation of complex, dynamic systems
Support the design, develop and document components, hardware
Analyze requirements for material, structural components or functional system assignment. Release results as design data after review from other engineers
Develop original ideas on preliminary design concepts with other technical groups and make modifications necessary to achieve the maximum ideal design.
Prepare specifications and requirements
Coordinate support and personnel from other areas such as Thermal, Structural Dynamics, GNC, EMI / EMC, Electrical and Contamination Control, etc
Interface with the program management team and / or program engineers to develop detailed assembly procedures, operational flow, logistics, schedule, personnel requirements and maintain space flight hardware inventories and log books
Create / Support the development of detailed estimates, define mechanical ground support equipment required to support integration activities and serve as liaison with Project personnel in setting schedules documenting design changes, and fabricating components and material selections

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9 / 80. The 9 / 80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineeringor Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience in engineering, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3years of related experience in engineering
Minimum of 2 years of Lead or Supervisor experience
Technical leadership experience, direction and mentoring to other technical employees in the application of scientific principles, tools and techniques to achieve practical end results
Well-versed, skilled and disciplined in system engineering processes
Current Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
Good organizational skills and ability to work with minimal direction
Strong problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications :
Masters of Science degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering preferred.
Background in aerospace systems; basic understanding of missile systems, GNC, warheads, and survivability
Model-based system engineering and / or system architecture experience
Familiarity with CAD applications (CATIA / NX)
Participation in multiple design and analysis cycles in aircraft and / or spacecraft development programs
