The Global Head of Third Party Claims Administration will report to the Claims Performance Lead.

This position can be based in any of our major US offices.

The role is responsible for developing and executing the TPA Claims strategy globally including the implementation of a Global Governance Framework.

Key responsibilities for this role include :

  • Drive the execution and lead the team responsible for Third Party administration and governance for the Global Claims organization including selection due diligence, contracting, on-
  • boarding, controls, and termination.

  • Establish strategic guardrails, targets, and governance controls for TPAs, implementing effective leading edge best practices, to provide maximum value to the business.
  • Ensure a service oriented delivery culture within the TPAs, monitoring customer experience, service levels and operating performance targets which balance the need for excellent customer service with the need to effectively manage claims.
  • Ensure TPAs are trained in and have implemented AIG policies, standards, and controls.
  • Coordinate with TPAs on business improvement programs and key remediation activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Claims business unit leaders, underwriting leaders, and country and regional executives to meet claims and business objectives.
  • Provide Claims business unit leaders, underwriting leaders, and country and regional executives with timely and relevant reports on key customer, quality and productivity metrics and progress against plans.
  • Drive a risk management culture among contract owners and business partners and partner with appropriate Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Audit stakeholders to maintain adherence to the governance framework.
  • Ensure TPAs have a defined and tested Disaster Recovery plan. Coordinate Disaster Recovery tests with appropriate functional groups.
  • Support ongoing Claims strategic initiatives through programs that foster an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Drive the use of claims management information, insights, and trends to guide business decisions.
  • Foster and enable innovative ways of working to help build an industry leading claims operation.
  • Represent Claims in enterprise forums and projects to ensure global operating excellence and enhanced internal collaboration.
  • Develop tools and strategies, in collaboration with HR, to attract and retain top industry talent and develop high performing teams.
  • Drive a culture that promotes collaboration, diversity and inclusion.
