Summary Duties

The Supervisor for MHICM / E-Range / PRRC provides clinical and programmatic supervision under the Mental Health and Behavioral Science Service located at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center.

The programs are administered under the administrative direction of the Program Supervisor through the Associate Chief of Mental Health and Behavior Science Service or designee.

The incumbent provides clinical Mental Health and case management services at an independent practice level to eligible Veterans and their family members to assist them in meeting their biological, psychological, social and environmental needs.

The incumbent works closely with the MHICM / E-Range / PRRC programs to supervise providers, and facilitates the Veterans' direct care, referral, and follow up is contiguous and based on a continuum of services in line with the recovery model and established patient centered recovery goals and treatment.

Other duties include, but are not limited to :

  • Implements and maintains referral and screening procedures for potential Veteran participants in accordance with national and local policy and the needs of the medical center, Mental Health and Behavioral Science Service, and residential programs.
  • Provides a full range of Mental Health & case management services including assessments, consultations, psychosocial intervention, referral, and psychological therapies to patients in the programs.
  • Modifies services to best meet the treatment needs of Veterans, enhance compliance and coordinates with other services offered in the treatment program.
  • Initiates, follows through, and evaluates the efficiency of interventions.
  • Maintains treatment plans based on patient / family input and clinical assessment for each Veteran.
  • Conducts routine visits to Veterans in a community and clinical setting to assess their environment, condition, and progress, and provides on-
  • going clinical services.

  • Provides referral to VA medical and mental health inpatient and outpatient treatment and to other VA services including VA benefits, as well as community-
  • based social services and other non-VA entitlement programs.

    Work Schedule : Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 am - 4 : 00 pm
