POS Systems & Support Analyst 2-200019H
Assists with supporting technology programs and POS software validation. Achieves effective business solutions by providing point of sale, network support, and / or designing and implementing new business solutions and modification / maintenance to existing applications.
Provides testing and support of point of sale software and equipment, including the most complex needs analysis, and coordinates and tracks issue resolution, configuration, and installation for supported locations.
Provides administrative support for technology programs, which includes internal cross-team coordination and coordination with the third-party service providers and distributors.
Creates, reviews, and maintains technical documentation and payment test scripts.
Configures POS hardware and software, and dispenser hardware and software. Maintains working hardware and reviews installation / upgrade procedures.
Actively participates with the analysis of third-party solutions. This includes hands-on testing and regression testing.
Develops training material for internal business resources.
Provides technical support to internal and external business resources.
Conducts research to learn current trends in technology, generates improvement suggestions, and presents findings to supervisors.
Remains current on industry payment trends and changes.
Attends various training sessions and may formally train others in the work group.
Demonstrates a positive service attitude, exercises good judgment, maintains relationships internally and externally with customers / vendors, displays excellent problem solving skills, and possesses a willingness and desire to learn and ask questions in order to grow in scope of knowledge.
This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Information Systems or a related discipline required.
2 years of POS system experience required.
Willingness and ability to travel when needed required.
Willingness and ability to work off-hours and on weekends for projects and / or support as needed required.
Knowledge of PCI compliance preferred.
Knowledge of petroleum industry and technology used preferred.
Ability to identify, analyze, and research an issue, and formulate a solution and / or recommendation preferred.
Knowledge of network routing, network security and firewall features preferred.
Skilled in providing thorough, efficient, and effective customer service to individuals at all levels within the organization preferred.
Strong organizational skills to manage and coordinate vendor interactions preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods preferred.
Ability to work autonomously preferred.
Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
