Scope of Responsibility :
Sabre Industries is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as an Energy Storage Systems Design Engineer.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and rapid growth industry utilizing a diversity of disciplines.
Design aspects include High Voltage DC Distribution, Auxiliary AC Power Distribution, Controls System Integration, PLC Programming, Fire Suppression & Safety System Design.
From design development to production support and testing, this engineer will be directly involved from conceptual design to final installation and field support.

Essential Duties :
Design development and preparation of technical drawings and specifications for electrical systems in energy storage system cabinets.
Ensure that installation and operation conform to codes, standards and customer requirements.
Collaborate with engineering team, sales team and customers to develop unique design solutions for products.
Perform detailed calculations to verify design compliance and ensure manufacturing, construction and installation meets applicable standards, codes and specifications.
Assist in creating and maintaining product support documentation including specifications, installation manuals, operation manuals and trouble-shooting guides.
Support manufacturing, equipment installation and quality testing to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
Design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems.
Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
Utilize CAD software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
Oversee project design efforts to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Position Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field of study
Professional Licensure Preferred
Minimum EIT and working toward Professional Engineer Licensure
3-5 years of practical Engineering experience.Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
Must work well in a group, or team environment.
Special Requirements :
Background and / or highly interested in battery energy storage systems, solar grid tie systems, micro grids, smart grid, distributed generation, telecommunications, power substations and / or renewable energy.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
The Electrical Engineer will work in a typical office type environment and as required work in a production environment, exposed to loud noise dust particles, and an indoor environment that is non-controlled.
This person will also on occasion be required to travel to project site locations for assessment, installation and troubleshooting and must adhere to all site requirements.
Demonstrated ability to work with frequent interruptions in workflow and constantly changing priorities
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time with the ability to move throughout the office or outside manufacturing plant as needed
Must be able to perform physical activities that require the use of fingers, hands, and arms, such as sitting, typing, using office equipment and reaching
Some additional physical activities may require walking, stooping, bending, twisting and handling of materials
Position requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and a safety-minded individual
Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources
The Electrical Engineer must regularly wear protective personal equipment such as steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, hard hats, and ear plugs.
