Office of Postdoctoral Affairs is seeking an individual who will provide administrative and logistical assistance to the Director.
Responsibilities of the position include : Website maintenance, maintaining social media accounts, take pictures and videos at office events, workshops, answer telephone and emails to the office, provide directions or information, assist in setting up workshops, seminars and events;
purchase food and supplies from vendors, caterers for events, schedule / cancel appointments and meetings; perform routine data entry and specific data mining;
deliver and / or pick up and distribute documents, awards, or supplies; assist with routine travel arrangements and report preparation;
assist with preparation for career fairs, workshops and symposium in summer, annual research exhibition in September and other events;
perform other general duties as needed. Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) is required. Knowledge of Penn State is preferred.
Prior office experience preferred. Individual must be a detail-oriented person, with a high level of accountability, and the ability to exercise discretion and has excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including oral and written communication skills.
This position will be temporary position, 15-18 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
