Responsibilities Include

Execute and advance the WestRock global D&I strategy.This may include (but not limited to) collaboration and programmatic efforts with talent acquisition, talent management, business facing HR colleagues and / or other areas in support of key business needs, goals and objectives.

Provide oversight and guidance for WestRock’s employee / business resource groups; Foster the growth of new and existing WestRock groups by building collaborative relationships with allies, leads, and members.

In partnership with Learning & Development team, drives development and implementation of D&I education and learning initiatives that will further enhance the organization’s D&I capabilities

Oversee budgeting for key aspects of D&I programming (e.g. employee / business resource groups)

Collect and ensure quality, accurate and timely D&I data and reporting; Measure progress and identify opportunities

Partner with the Communications to effectively and authentically tell our D&I story (internal & external)

Stay abreast of global data and trends in the industry and maintain up-to-date knowledge of global diversity, inclusion and belonging.

Experience Required :

5+ years of experience in building and scaling company-wide Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging programs with solid subject matter expertise and a track record of delivering results

Demonstrated ability to build and lead high performing employee / business resource groups that positively support the business

Created and / or led educational and learning programs to build global D&I awareness and skills; solid understanding about bias (conscious & unconscious), what it is and how to effectively manage

Able to develop meaningful relationships and partner effectively with individuals and groups of multicultural backgrounds

Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities

Ability to create innovative ideas and solutions (especially to drive D&I forward)

Willingness to travel as needed

BA / BS or equivalent experience

Experience Preferred :

People leadership preferred; may be direct or indirect as demonstrated through project or initiative leadership without direct reporting responsibilities

Good business knowledge; Able to connect Diversity & Inclusion to the business and HR’s goals & objectives; Understands how to partner effectively with the business

Proficient interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence across all levels

Customer Focus; able to problem solve and navigate ambiguity in a highly collaborative environment

Action Oriented with effective organization and time management skills
