    JOB SUMMARY

    The Director of Activation Strategies solutions is responsible for understanding and advancing Harland Clarke’s knowledge of consumer / small business payments behavior through data.

    This role will support the product management teams to provide reports and insights to inform strategic insights on programs designed to increase product and activation for financial services clients.

    The Director of Activation Strategies will serve as an internal subject matter expert on modern payment methods, payments activation and usage.

    KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the overall strategy to increase consumer / small business payments activation for financial services clients. 25%
  • Manage Key Performance Indicators and analyze for opportunities to optimize performance through cycles of enhancement spanning concept, implementation, measurement and optimization. 20%
  • Lead voice of the customer and client assessments that translates into recommendations with actionable business insight and product enhancements.
  • Manages relevant industry reports highlighting valuable statistics and case studies to be used as proof points. 15%

  • Acts as the industry expert the payments ecosystem and payments activation strategies, driving knowledge and training for our internal sales teams, as well as head line setting articles, webinars, in-
  • person presentations in the financial services industry. 15%

  • Utilizes a variety of data sources, including proprietary Harland Clarke data, to understand, evaluate and validate payments activation behavior, as well as to stay in front of emerging payment options and their impact on the ecosystem. 15%
  • Interacts directly with clients to assist in payments activation marketing strategies, serving as an expert presenting industry changing metrics and tactics. 10%
  • EDUCATION

  • Requires an MBA or a bachelor degree with a concentration in business administration marketing economics or other relevant field of study combined with significant executive level experience in the financial services industry
  • EXPERIENCE

  • Ideal candidate should have executive level knowledge of marketing, analytics, consumer behaviors, operational effectiveness and customer segment management experience
  • 10+ years of experience in consumer / small business payments ecosystem with hands on experience analyzing behaviors, metrics and outcomes in addition to product management / program / business insights and analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in hands-on contribution as a product owner or contributing business role
  • Working knowledge of financial services technology, banking and related industry knowledge and regulations
  • KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • C Suite communication skills required
  • Strong analytical skills with a variety of BI / Analysis toolsets
  • Creative problem solver, analytical thinker, and quick learner
  • Ability to work with ambiguity in a self-guided environment
  • Thorough understanding of product management and planning and development

  • Extensive knowledge of infrastructure platform and content management framework is required to support strategic expansion of leading marketplace features, functions and product sets to deliver innovative thought leadership and performance tracking insights
  • Effective management style to drive performance on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly basis across internal teams including marketing, product management, sales and data analytics teams
  • Executive level ability to communicate business strategies and go to market initiatives, as well as the ability to work with executives of large organizations to drive growth and profitability for their organization
  • EQUIPMENT / SOFTWARE UTILIZED

  • Strong experience with MS Excel, analytics and business intelligence, data analysis and visualization toolsets
  • Strong understanding of data gathering for analysis, data manipulation, file formats
