Represent, facilitate and lead as a Senior Project Manager to internal project team and subcontractors. Provide project leadership and management to product development teams.
Lead project teams and provide overall leadership and management of all aspects of the team and program including subcontractor management
Establish and lead project core and sub-teams; facilitate discussions, team member conflicts and provide guidance / direction on key critical project issues
Establish, maintain and serve as liaison (along with project PI) with US Government and subcontractor counterparts when applicable
Recognize and resolve fundamental and unanticipated project issues
Set project strategy, priorities and milestones and lead project team with this vision
Establish and maintain project timelines and Integrated Financial Plans
Develop, defend and maintain project budgets
Regularly present to senior management and / or the entire site in the form of Product Development or Project Update Presentations
Regularly interact with executive management with key project updates
Volunteer for and participate in strategic acquisition teams
Serve as project manager on proposals for new work; lead proposal teams
Work with corporate to identify gaps within current policies and work to implement effective changes
Complete Emergent and US Government monthly and weekly reporting requirements when applicable

Education, Experience & Skills
Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
BS / MS in related areas including biology, biochemistry, and biotechnology
6 or more years of project management or relevant experience in pharmaceutical and vaccine development
Experience in vaccine or drug development under government contracts
Experience managing and leading drug or vaccine projects, or subteams, through early development (including non-clinical and clinical studies)
