All employees with direct patient contact are responsible for actively engaging in the practice of, monitoring and enforcing compliance to hand hygiene.
Removes regular and red bag waste material.
Sets up Conference and meeting rooms.
Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of chemicals and supplies.
Responsible for directing housekeeping services in the absence of Manager of Environmental Services.
Cleans corridors including edges, corners and floor plates.
Cleans and sanitizes walls.
Cleans light lenses.
Properly cleans carpets including vacuuming, shampooing, buffing and extraction.
Removes trash and sanitizes container.
Refinishes hard surface floors.
Properly cleans vent exteriors.
Cleans equipment daily.
Uses properly labeled chemicals and follows mixing instructions as they apply.
Returns all equipment and supplies to the workroom at the end of the shift.
Cleans pads daily.
Uses proper lifting techniques. Uses correct lifting equipment.
Sets up rooms per instructions.
Notifies Evening Supervisor when work is completed.
Reports damaged, broken or inoperative equipment, lights, furnishings etc. to Nursing Supervisor / Staff.
Performs emergency cleaning duties water removal.
Removes carpet and hard surface floor spills, following proper removal techniques. Calls supervisor for chemical spills.
Demonstrates good working knowledge of Fire Prevention, Infection Control and Emergency Management policies and procedures.
May be called to perform job duties off-site in order to support functions of the Hospital and its supporting agencies.
