The Kleinfelder office in Austin, Texas is currently searching for an experienced Construction Materials Testing Technician / Special Inspector to perform Materials Testing and special inspection services in the field on various projects in the metro-

Austin area and other projects located throughout Central Texas. Our current portfolios of challenging and sustainable projects offer excellent opportunities to grow professionally and become an integral part of the company.

The requirements for the position are described below : -International Code Council (ICC) certifications in Soils and Reinforced Concrete or NICET Level II certifications in soils and concrete.

  • NICET Level I candidates will be considered but, must have the ability to attain Level II in six months from hire; -Five (5) or more years of construction materials observation / testing experience;
  • American Concrete Institute (ACI) Field Testing Technician - Grade I -Nuclear Density Gauge Training and experience; -Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and ability to pass drug test required;
  • Desire to attain certifications and advance your career; -Willingness to work construction schedules which may include night shift and / or weekends and travel.
  • Ability to attain ICC - Prestressed / Post-tension Concrete certification or PTI certifications within six months of hire.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and email. TxDOT certifications in HMAC, Level 1A or 1B also desired. Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays.
