THE OPPORTUNITY

Primary responsibility is to serve as the lead between Chipotle and outside vendors. Responsible for sourcing and vetting vendors, negotiating contracts, and presenting recommendations to executive staff that provide the best quality at the right cost.

Specific categories the Analyst will be responsible for include Restaurant Operation Services

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Contribute to, and execute against, sourcing strategies for Restaurant Operation Services including but not limited to Facilities and Maintenance, Store Design and Development, Store Product Supplies, Security, Cleaning Services, etc.
  • Understand spend across assigned categories
  • Develop sourcing hypothesis and strategies to help maximize company objectives
  • Activate and manage cross-functional teams to validate, implement and achieve sourcing goals
  • Measure value captured, monitor and report on performance
  • Work with business stakeholder groups to identify needs, and qualify new or existing capable suppliers, initiate requests for proposals / quotations (RFPs / RFQs), or contract renewals, and advise on vendor price, quality, availability, reliability and support
  • Work with Legal to develop and review contract terms and conditions for suppliers and advise internal business stakeholders
  • Lead complex negotiations with vendors, on behalf of stakeholders and Chipotle, to unlock and maximize supplier value
  • Manage on-going supplier relationships focusing on supply risk mitigation, contract compliance, and cost fluctuations
  • Study market trends and conditions, supply markets and changes, and use results to enable Chipotle’s strategic objectives
  • Work with other Supply Chain functions and assist in managing Chipotle DC product cost, inventory, and logistics
  • Other duties as required to meet the needs of the business

  • 3 to 5 years of Strategic Sourcing / Procurement experience
  • Indirect Procurement experience preferred but not required
  • B.A. / B.S. in Business, Finance or Supply Chain
  • M.B.A. preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of the Strategic Sourcing processes
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment and easily adapt to change
  • Must work independently with attention to detail, accuracy, documentation, and follow-through
  • Ability to manage financial data in a confidential and professional manner, including understanding of Total Cost of Ownership models
  • Able to translate complex objectives into clear, simple actions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all functions and levels of an organization and assert influence
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, develop process, and lead through execution
