Primary Responsibilities :

  • Promote student health and wellness.
  • Perform service in both routine and medical situations involving students and employees.
  • Administer & monitor medication to students following school district procedures.
  • Administer routine auditory and visual examinations, weighing and measuring students, and similar duties as requested by school administration.
  • Meet hygiene goals of students based on classroom need.
  • Communication with school personnel and parents / family members.
  • Supply management and hygiene of healthcare provider work station / office.
  • Maintain daily paperwork for ACCESS as well as other health data.
  • Perform clerical and other duties as assigned by the building Principal / administration.
  • Qualifications :

  • PA Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Valid and in good standing.
  • Experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, family practice and / or primary care, or occupational health setting.
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children preferred.
  • Credentialing Requirements :

  • Active License - PA Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Education Documentation Diploma or official transcripts.
  • PA Child Abuse Clearance (Current within 1 year)
  • PA Criminal Clearance (Current within 1 year)
  • PA Department of Education FBI Clearance (Current within 1 year)
  • TB screening (Current within 1 year)
  • CPR / First Aid (Current)
