Department : Respiratory Therapy
Hours : 8am-5pm, M-F
The Respiratory Education and Performance Improvement Coordinator is responsible for designing, developing, teaching, evaluating and documenting outcomes of both clinical and non-clinical teaching and training programs to improve practices for the patients safety and well-being.
Works as liaison between Quality and RT to develop an annual performance improvement plan that is based on department goals and quality outliers.
Acts as a subject matter expert with Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Develops annual Education plan with goals and performs and document annual competency for the department.
Experience : Generally requires 1 to 3 years of related experience.
Education : Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
Licensure Certification : RRT credential designated by the NBRC. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Knowledge Skill Abilities : Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure.
Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment. Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications.
