    Procurement & Materials Management Manager

    Under direct supervision by KBR Services Procurement, Materials and Subcontracts Management, perform job duties and functions below with the overall objective of helping to improve KBR to deliver added value and promote consistent cost effective solutions to our shareholders and clients.


    Responsible for compliance with Procurement Management practices and procedures and coordinates and monitors completion of assigned tasksReceive limited direction from manager and may support one or more ProjectsMaintain a working knowledge of KBR’s Procurement Standards, Programs and goalsEstablish and maintain communications with client representatives and Project staff through meetings, telephone and web conferences, and reports to provide for client satisfactionProvide operational direction to administrative / procurement personnelRead and understand the Prime Contract : flow down applicable clauses in procurementSupport Procurement Management activities for construction projects with work scope up to $500 millionInterface with all levels of the project team and be able to represent and interface with all levels of internal and / or external management and corporate organization personsDevelop and make formal presentationsParticipate in project functional auditsDevelop standard procurement templates for projectsGather and compile data essential to solicitation, negotiation, and administration of purchase orders in the construction industryPrepare, maintain, retrieve, and communicate records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate and client requirementsParticipate in development of project risk assessment matrix and participate in risk reviewsAnalyze commercial sections of proposals and coordinate technical proposal evaluationsLead / Participate in negotiation of terms and conditions, coordinate technical scopes of work including interface with all project disciplines (project controls, legal, project management, construction, engineering, finance / accounting, and client)Develop final proposal evaluations and prepare contract recommendations, and present recommendation to project team and / or client


  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of directly related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years if non-degreed;
  • Other Job RequirementsAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitorsJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state / province, and federal / national statutes and guidelinesAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

    Preferred Qualifications

    Accredited degree or global equivalent in Business, or equivalent experience requiredDemonstrated ability to work in a professional engineering or construction environmentExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong administrative and organizational skills
