Leads initiatives aimed at supporting and ensuring quality operational delivery via efficient and effective processes, associated systems, training and communications. Job Responsibilities :

  • Leads process improvement initiative teams and represents the department in cross-functional initiatives.
  • Acts as a responder to CAPAs.
  • Oversees updates to procedural documents.
  • Approves training materials and training needs.
  • Makes and / or approves recommendations to prioritize process improvement needs through CAPA actions, process and systems improvements, and metrics / trend analyses.
  • Defines and designs new operational metrics (KPIs and KQIs).
  • Develops and / or approves communication methods and materials.
  • Collates information to support prioritization of systems-related business needs and processes and develops recommendations.
  • Contributes to and approves communication methods, including the department intranet sites and newsletter.
  • Responds to client or internal process audits on global processes, systems, or procedures.
  • Interprets data on complex issues, leads cross-functional teams and makes sound business decisions.

    Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years).
  • 2+ years of management responsibility
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Effective leadership and management skills
  • Skilled in process development and improvement, especially as it applies to clinical trials and clinical development
  • Strong attention to detail, investigative and analytical skills
  • Solid interpersonal, negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills, to include an effective understanding of clinical management technology and systems
  • Firm understanding of the practices, processes and requirements of clinical trials, to include regulatory guidelines and directives
  • Effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
  • Capable of directing and promoting teamwork in a multi-disciplinary and / or multi-cultural team setting
  • Solid critical thinking skills to drive innovation and develop new ideas related to process improvements
  • Working Conditions and Environment :

  • Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
  • Frequently drives to site locations and frequently travels both domestic and international.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
  • Moderate mobility required.
  • Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
  • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
  • Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups both internally & externally.
  • Ability to apply basic principles to solve conceptual issues.
  • Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
