New America’s Education Policy Program seeks applicants who have a strong interest in education policy for a paid Spring 2019 internship.
The intern will primarily assist the program’s PreK-12 team with research, data, and policy analysis for issue briefs and policy reports.
Interns must be self-starters who are excited to work both independently and as part of a team on a variety of education-related research projects.
New America’s PreK-12 team explores key issues in education using a research-based and solutions-oriented approach grounded in principles of equity, efficiency, quality, and transparency.
From educator quality, to school finance, to college- and career-ready standards and assessments, our team researches and analyzes existing federal, state, and local policies, investigates and highlights where promising practices already exist, and proposes innovative new approaches for the field.
New America’s Education Policy Program is a think-tank industry leader in early and elementary education, PreK-12, higher education, and the workforce.
In addition to conducting research and analysis in the area of PreK-12 education policy, interns will have the opportunity to publish their own blog posts and other work, attend events on behalf of New America, and gain exposure to some of the brightest and most ambitious thinkers in the field.
