Directs and manages all aspects of the Production Department to produce quality products at the lowest possible cost, meeting sales and production schedule requirements, all while having a significant focus on associate safety.
Responsible for all aspects of production and achieving key performance measurements related to personnel safety, quality and food safety, service, and cost.
Directly responsible for product quality, new process development, costing and cost management
Develops, implements and manages all production procedures to ensure all plant goals are met.
Perform data analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings, waste reduction and improved quality.
Analyzes results of bakery operations, determines variances from standard, and takes corrective action as needed.
Provide coaching / feedback for supervisors / front-line managers and associates to drive change and improve the site’s culture and performance.
Supervises, trains and coaches manufacturing management to include responsibility for personnel and labor issues throughout the plant.
Mentors and coaches line associates to engage and empower them.
Sets goals and implements strategies for continuous improvements in quality, processes and waste.
Execute process improvements and builds a culture of continuous improvement and standardization.
Provide assistance in design and execution of various projects (systems and floor).
Extend capabilities to meet the needs of a changing market.
Build a bakery whose associates are customer focused, flexible and have a strong business acumen.Ensure compliance to all relevant regulations.
Develop partnership with Sales Team to drive Superior Quality Always
Takes appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the SQF system.
Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.
Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rd party audits.
