Overview : Reporting to the General Counsel, the Assistant General Counsel Litigation will deliver results by closely partnering with other TopBuild attorneys, legal assistants and several cross functional teams, e.

g. IT, Finance and HR. Specific areas of responsibility will include the defense of litigation and claims in collaboration with outside counsel.

The Counsel will assist with discovery, witness interviews and internal investigations throughout the litigation lifecycle and will attend depositions, mediations, arbitrations and trials as required.

Importantly, s / he will also be responsible for designing mitigation measures to reduce litigation risk over time in close collaboration with its business partners.

Compensation : Competitive salary and benefit package.

Experience : 15+ years of litigation practice (in-house or as outside counsel) mandatory, with significant trial experience (federal district courts preferred).

Experience in the construction industry is preferred. Proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred.

Location : Daytona Beach, Florida (approximately 50 minutes northeast of Orlando).

Relos : Yes. This is a national search.

Bar Admission : Admission to a State Bar of any jurisdiction in the United States and licensed to practice in Florida (or admitted to the Florida Bar within a reasonable time following the commencement of the position).
