The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall direction and profitability of their branch facility. This includes the Parts and Service Department programs and services provided by our company.

This position reports to and is supervised by the Vice President of the company. The ideal candidate will have experience with Detroit Diesel, MTU, Allison Transmissions, and Diesel Engines in a recent similar Branch Manager position. Responsibilities :

  • Maintain Allison PRP metrics to achieve all promised turntime allowances
  • Continual focus of Wheeltime metrics and initiate continual improvements.
  • Grow service business in the shop and the field
  • Maintain at least 64% GPM
  • Make sure labor in process in less than .31MOH and repair orders are closed daily
  • Increase generator sales and rental for the Branch
  • Understand financial statements and make necessary corrections based on results
  • Monitor all Foremen expenses as well as OT
  • Manage unapplied time to absolute minimum
  • Manage necessary corrections to keep policy to minimum
  • Maintain training profiles and monitor training expenses.
  • Attend, actively participate in and graduate from required WheelTime University training courses (including, but not limited to the Branch Management BRM 102, etc.).
  • Attend, actively participate in and pass additional training courses / seminars as required by management (including, but not limited to, management, supervisory, sales and leadership skill building classes).
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management and development so as to be able to quantify key aspects of performance (i.
  • e. customer satisfaction, quality, cost, etc.).

  • Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timeframes
  • Manage and develop direct reporting staff
  • Manage and control departmental expenditures within allocated budgets
  • Interface with other functional / departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of service / operational development.
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary operational development theory and methods and implement them within the branch facility.
  • Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
  • Responsible for enforcing, reinforcing and implementing company policies, goals and objectives.
