This team impacts silicon planning all the way to the mass production of datacenter products.
This is a Power Management System Architect position responsible to deliver power management features with strong backgrounds in control theory, ADC and filter fundamentals to help architecting the overall power management system, to integrate cross-disciplines such as ASIC analog / RTL, voltage regulators and algorithms, to design the board hardware, to lead feature bring-up and validation, and to take the solutions into production.
What you’ll be doing :
Understand Datacenter needs and be a part of defining NVIDIA’s Power Management Control System Roadmap
Design Mixed-Signal Cross-Domain Closed-Loop Controllers for Accelerated Computing Power Management Systems
Integrate a subsystem across VR / PDN, Board Analog Circuit, ASIC Analog, ASIC RTL, Firmware and Host Processor Kernel-Mode Software
Integrate common implementation across features such as Voltage Regulation, DVFS Management, Low Power (ACPI C-state equivalents) and User-Mode Telemetry
Provide feasibility analysis, present options and ensure the feature meets the balance of performance, quality, scalability, re-use, reliability, cost and time-to-market
Help define requirements and specifications to vendors to design required ICs / components
Deliver and review schematic, Bill Of Material (BOM) and programming requirements of the feature for the products
Feature Bring-Up, Validation and Support Post-Production Debug, AEs and Customers as needed
What we need to see :
Bachelors (BS) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 8+ year relevant industry experience, or Master of Applied Sciences of equivalent discipline with 6+ years related experience
Deep Technical Knowledge in Feedback Stability of MIMO Systems
Proficient in Filter Design : Type III / Bessel / Elliptic / All-pass and discrete time equivalents
Working Knowledge of Switch Mode Power Supplies, Op-Amp Circuits, Analog Digital Conversion, Digital Circuits
Modelling with Spice / Python or equivalent, and proficient with Verilog and C / C++
General Understanding of ASIC Productization : ATE, Binning, Voltage-Margining, etc.
Proficient with in modern circuit design tools preferably Cadence Allegro Schematic Design Entry (Concept HDL) and Allegro PCB Layout, with good understanding of high speed, SI and EMI impacts
Proficient debugging with common lab tools like Oscilloscopes and Network Analyzers, troubleshooting skills and writing diagnostic scripts / programs
Have been closely involved in, or personally responsible for complex projects from feasibility through high-volume production
Deep understanding of technology and passionate about what you do
